Planet Youth School's Back Workshop Tues 22nd Sept
This workshop on Tuesday the 22nd of September is publicly funded and free of any charge. It’s just a short, event to help support parents around the return to school. It’ll be run on Zoom using facilitated breakout rooms and will examine what’s been challenging for children and families about the return to school whilst building on all the positives. A series of these workshops ran throughout the lockdown and into the summer and this will probably be the final one for this year. Around 350 parents attended the previous workshops and found them of value. Planet Youth itself is an innovative public project that is being run in counties Roscommon, Mayo and Galway. It’s based upon the Icelandic Primary Prevention model that has shown huge success in improving health and life outcomes for their young population. We commenced the Planet Youth project in 2018 here in Ireland and it’s being supported by the HSE, Tusla, our local County Councils and Education and Training Boards. You can find a bit more information at www.planetyouth.ie. |

6th Class Graduation Photos
On Friday the 19th of June we bid farewell to our wonderful Sixth Class of 19/20. It was a day of mixed emotions as many of the girls had not seen each other since the lockdown began in mid-March. Both Mr. Joyce, Ms. Anglim would not have wished to say goodbye in such circumstances, but everybody made the most of the restricted ceremony to wish each other well for the future. The class of 2020 was a particularly talented and resilient bunch who represented our school with pride and distinction during their eight years here. The staff of the Holy Trinity would like to wish them well in all their future endeavours of which we are sure there will be many. We would particularly like to thank them for their patience, cooperation, and positive attitude during these trying times. And finally, girls you must remember Mr. Woods annual saying, from now on and for the rest of your lives, you will always be Holy Trinity Girls.

Greetings to 2nd Class on what would have been your First Holy Communion Day
Saturday May 23rd
Congratulations! We have received our 2nd Amber Flag
Hello Everyone,
I am delighted to inform you that we have been awarded our second Amber Flag. Unfortunately, due to the current circumstances, The Pieta Amber Flag Team cannot hold the national award ceremony. However, we will receive our flag in September and we will have a flag raising ceremony in school.
I would like to thank you all for your commitment and dedication to promoting Positive Mental Health in our school this year. Well done to everyone for doing the Daily Mile and I hope you are all keeping it up with your families. Children in the junior classes learned about looking after their wellbeing through literacy and children in the senior classes used the Weaving Wellbeing Programme to discover ways in building their self-esteem, confidence, growth mindset and resilience. We also learned a lot about looking after our bodies and minds during our wellness week.Hopefully, you can use some of the knowledge you gained this year to help you relax and stay healthy at home.
Again, well done to all of you.
Kindest regards,
Marie Davitt
